F/W 2018/19 LUXX Ready to Wear Another Northern Evening Collection
This collection combines the tradition of buckskins derived from deerskins worn by Native Americans with the modernity of modern textiles such as neoprene and faux fur. Fringe was historically used for the functional purpose of helping garments dry faster from the rain, while now it largely reflects aesthetic value. Cree syllabics reading “we will succeed” are prevalent throughout as this mantra largely depicts the brand philosophy. Classic silhouettes are given a modern take resulting in wearable pieces for any ethnicity. The birch tree is highly symbolic of fresh beginnings and renewal. Although it has an appearance of delicacy, it is a highly resilient tree that is able to endure harsh conditions with minimal struggle. It heartily repopulates environments damaged by forest fires. As the last Ice Age receded it was one of the first species to grace the rocky landscape left behind.
